[3.1] Overview

Content editing within SproutCMS 3.0 is done using a modified version of TinyMCE, an excellent open source editor with a long development history and a good support structure.

This editor is loaded in all modules where rich text is needed and allows a user to manage:

• Content formatting
• Hyperlink management
• Image insertion and manipulation
• Video insertion and manipulation
• Table insertion and manipulation

In addition to this we have modified the editor to provide additional tools that can be further customised on a site by site basis. These include:

• Special styles for copy highlighting
• Pre-defined template insertion
• Tools for showing/hiding content on-click
