[9.3] Link list - editing

To edit a link in a link list on your website:

1. Click onto the modules tab and click on the Link lists option
2. Locate the link you wish to edit by clicking on a category or by using the search tool above the main list view
3. Click onto the link's row in the main list
4. Edit the details for the link, as per below
5. Save changes

Link details

Name

This is the name of the link that will display on the page within a list

Link type

This is the type of link that you can create. While this list is sometimes customised to suit your site, typically it will contain the following options:

• External URL - allows you to enter a full website URL. By default this type of link will open in a new window or tab.
• Internal URL - allows you to enter a full website URL. Typically this is available if you are linking to a page on your website that for some reason is not included in your site's page tree.
• Internal page - allows you to choose a page from your site's page tree.
• Document - allows you to link to a document on your media repository.
• Blog post - allows you to link to a post within your blog module.

Categories

The categories to place this link into. Links can be placed into multiple categories. You can add new categories here by entering a name for the new category in the box and clicking Add. Note that these categories are used when creating your lists of links.
